After two years of searching, interviews, and on-site filming, the documentary film focuses on six Taiwanese veterans with different origins, backgrounds, and identities, using real footage to capture the heartfelt voices of the Taiwanese people. Bearing the pain of a lifetime, they held onto the memory of their blood ties with mainland China, courageously and resolutely declaring, "I want to return to the mainland."
